Day 2: Madrid
Breakfast

Tostada con jamón iberico and coffee from a random cafe. I like that the olive oil came in a little condiment pod, like it was ketchup.
El Prado

The Prado museum is massive. A lot of religious art, which I can take or leave, but I do enjoy the weirdos like Goya and Bosch.
Salmon Guru

No. 37 on the list of the fifty best bars in the world. Can confirm, drinks were good!
Ferretería Restaurante

Glass of wine and a couple of croquetas (one beef, one jamon) in this bar converted from an old hardware store.
La Campana

This place serving fried calamari bocadillos (sandwiches) is open 24/7 and seemingly has a line 24/7 as well. After two cocktails and wine, it really hit the spot.

Bar Melo’s

This “zapatilla” sandwich and I were at war. I ordered the half size, and I swear that after attacking it for 30 minutes it barely looked any smaller. So much ham and melted cheese. The two fist sized croquetas weren’t helping. I eventually had to throw in the towel and admit defeat, but it was a glorious battle.
